Football Update: La Liga- Franz Beckenbauer assails Jose Mourinho
Franz Anton Beckenbauer, the German football coach, manager, and former player, audaciously stated about Jose Mourinho:
"He's rude and with no education. The fact that he wears cashmere sweaters doesn't mean he belongs like a gentleman. Captains and coaches from all over the world considered that Mourinho got the best results with less resources than their rivals, but
he has been rude and with no education in his behaviour to achieve his objectives. The same coach has suffered last autumn the worst humiliation losing 5-0 at Camp Nou, after a festival of passes and fantasy from Pep Guardiola's Barcelona. There the offensive
mentality has prevailed."
These intrepid words are afflicted towards Jose Mourinho, who recently lifted FIFA's Manager of the Year accolade, by Franz Beckenbauer. Franz is the former two-time Ballon d'Or winner, World Cup-winning player and the official who has been voted as the
third-best player of the 20th century, after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pele-c40189 and Johan Cruyff.
Albeit his words are very personal and slightly cheeky too, the Kaiser however, has a point. Jose Mourinho happens to be a very prosperous, and undoubtedly the first-rate coach. But his bad practice of lambasting officials, referees and managers, is extremely
disrespecting, especially for the repute of the club. To name some of the recent examples, Mourinho has come under inspection for rejoicing over his side's goal in front of Villarreal's technical area in their current meeting with the el Madrid; attending
a press conference having a list of 13 refereeing faults after Real Madrid's close victory in December, over Sevilla.
However, Beckenbauer's words appear duplicitous. To assault a coach in such a way for being rude and impertinent is in itself, disrespectful and offensive. It is true that Beckenbauer is worthy of respect as a player and coach, and he, as a retired man can
speak freely. But this does not you can exploit that right to make people listen to you.
Jose has attacked several managers, many of them returning him the favour in the same manner. But Beckenbauer is probably the highest profile figure assailing him. When the Kaiser speaks, the public listens. It is only a matter of question as to how long
can Mourinho survive in the football arena with such a repute.
Mourinho is to realize the harsh fact that he may lose the clubs who would fancy having him as a coach, just because of his disrespecting attitude. His stupendous coaching talent will be wasted for no good.
