Football Update: Loic Remy ready to run for Anfield at  £12.5 million
Club Liverpool is on the brink of actually brining on Loic Remy, the French striker for a full five-year contract and for a whopping fee of around £12.5 million that is around fifteen million Euros.

Remy is only 23 years old and rumoured to go to Merseyside and undergo a medical any day now. A medical is usually a mandatory final stage go ahead before the player gets signed, and if everything is on order then he would be joining Hodgson’s team soon which is currently training in Switzerland.
Loic Remy has actually been showered by many offers from West Ham and Tottenham and the directors of these teams actually personally flew out to France and met Remy to negotiate the contract, but in the end it was Liverpool who bagged Remy.
Rémy has actually played as a France youth international and has earned numerous caps with the under-21 squad and under-19 team. As with the under-21s, Remy played in the Toulon Tournament, which was in 2007 and miraculously scored against Japan and the Ivory Coast. In total Remy has had nine appearances in international under 21s and scored three goals from that.
In March 2008, when Henry was called back due to an injury, Remy was called on in his place and for the French National football team, he played against England and Mali and came on as a substitute for Samir Nasri in the 54th minute and it was then when he made is national debut playing against Nigeria.
Remy actually commented on the topic by saying that he was very excited in playing with Liverpool, as it definitely has a great fan crowd and an extraordinary stadium and it is without a doubt “a legendary club”

It is believed that Liverpool will pay Remy around £7.5 million upfront and then follow then rest in instalments.
Gilberto Stellado the Nice president actually sought out reassurances about Liverpool’s financial situation before accepting the move of the player. Nice paid around eight million Euros for Remy and after two seasons and twenty five goals scored, Nice has accepted that they cannot hold Remy any longer and need to sell him off now. Had it not been for an ankle injury, Remy would have been in Arsenal by now.
Eric Roy, the Nice coach commented on the matter by saying that they are redesigning themselves in accordance with Remy’s leaving as for before they used to rely on him a lot. The coach continued by saying that there was a verbal agreement that he was going to spend a minimum of two seasons with Nice, then move on, so Remy leaving was always expected.
Fredric Guerra, Remy’s agent told everyone in his talks that Lioc is interested in Liverpool and that Liverpool is interested in Loic and he officially confirmed that West Ham and Tottenham are looking into him too. He said that Loic has always wanted to play in the Liverpool and England clubs, as they are massive.

Guerra went on by saying that if Remy went to England then he would be a humongous success and he even went as far as saying that if he actually did go to England, then he would be even a bigger player than Henry. He went on to say that Remy is a quick, strong, two footed and sensational player and most of all he is a complete player and Liverpool would actually love him.
Whereas, Roy Hodgson, who is Liverpool’s new manager, has been trying his level best to line a priority, bolster his team forward, as there is still this chance that Torres will stay with the club.
