Football Update: Premier League News- Arsenal, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Blackpool
Arsenal
Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger has decided to prolong the decision of the return of Cesc Fabregas and would wait until till Saturday morning to confirm his squad line-up. Fabregas suffered a hamstring injury while playing against Sunderland on 18th
September, where he stretched his leg for a freak goal in a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of light and missed the weekend’s loss to West Brom, as well as the Champions league win.
The midfielder however confirmed that he would be available for the Chelsea clash in the league this weekend but the manager has stated that Fabregas’s chances of playing at Stamford Bridge remain lower than 50%. That is not good news for Arsenal who are
already without first choice goal keeper Manuel Almunia, who hasn’t trained with the first team since his elbow injury against West Bromwich over the weekend. The manager has also confirmed the centre back Thomas Vermaelen wouldn’t be available for the match
but Abou Diaby would play, even if he’s not fit enough to start. The manager stated that he doesn’t know the situation of Cesc Fabregas and the situation is 50-50, with the situation inclining towards the negative 50%. However, nothing can be said till Saturday
morning. On the topic of goalkeeper Almunia, the manager confirmed that the shot stopper hasn’t been training regularly with the squad and he will wait on the topic.

Aston Villa
Aston Villa midfielder, Marc Albrighton has praised fellow team mate Barry Bannan and claimed that Bannan has the vision to torture any defence line owing to the range of passing. Albrighton claimed that the youngster has vowed everyone around him and has
the ability to reach the top in the near future. The player stated that he has played with Bannan for a couple of years now and claimed that he is one of the most technical player in the club. The midfielder added that the player is a good one for the future
and wows everyone with his talent in training.
“He's a really exciting player. When he gets the ball he can do anything with it. He'll always create something. He can see passes that other players can't so he's just a great prospect. He's gone out on loan a couple of times and both times he's come
back with glowing reviews. He helped Blackpool massively last season to achieve what they did. In the reserves he's been fantastic too. I love playing with him because he knows I'm going to be out wide and I know when he gets the ball he's going to be able
to find me," claimed the Aston Villa midfielder

Birmingham City
Birmingham City Midfielder Craig Gardner’s 3 match ban would start this weekend and has been confirmed out of the Everton Clash. The midfielder managed a bad tackle on Wigan Athletic player N’Zogbia, and received a straight red card along with a three match
ban.

Blackpool
Blackpool midfielders, Matt Gilks and Charlie Adam have received good news on the International front as they have been named in the National side for their double header against Czech Republic and Spain. They would a part of the side’s EURO 2012 qualifiers
and have already established themselves as first team players in Blackpool’s premier league campaign so far. The players are expected to travel to Scotland after their weekend clash with Liverpool and both of them delighted to provide their services for their
country.
