Football Update: Premier League News- Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea
Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers forward, Brett Emerton has stated that his winning strike against Blackpool may be the moment that could turn the season around. The player’s striker provided Blackburn their first ever win in this fixture in nearly 30 years.
"I think that the most disappointing aspect of our season so far is that we have taken the lead in so many of our games and haven't been able to hang on. It is a start, we've managed to get all three points away from home, something we have struggled
to do last season, so hopefully we can build on that and it really kickstarts our season. We find ourselves in the top half of the table now and hopefully we can stay there," claimed the 31 year old midfielder. In his 264 appearances for Blackburn, Emerton
has scored 16 and 38 assists.

Blackpool
Blackpool manager, Ian Holloway has explained the importance of Charlie Adam in the Blackpool’s premier league campaign so far. The club skipper was one of the focal players in Blackpool’s out of the blue promotion to the premier league this season and still
remains a key player in the midfield. The former Ranger player, however, didn’t look sharp in the Blackburn match and scored a disastrous own goal, which contributed to his side’s 2-1 loss in a Lancashire derby at Bloomfield Road.  The manager stated Adam
is one of the players whom he’s very proud of. Holloway explained that when Charlie is playing in the midfield, his passes are sometimes inch perfect, which is just extraordinary. The manager backed the player and expected to keep on playing the player every
week for the rest of the season. The manager stated that he’s one of the players who runs fast both on and off the ball and causes a lot of issues for the defence when he runs that fast. If these qualities don’t earn him a special place for the manager then
the own goal doesn’t puts him in the bad books of the manager.

Bolton Wanderers
Bolton defender, Zat Knight has the intention of establishing himself as one of the important players for his club. The defender scored his first goal of the season against Manchester United on the weekend, which put the home side in front in the opening
exchanges. Standing high at a height of six feet six inches, the gigantic defender is almost just too hard to cover by any of the top defender and can thus win almost any aerial challenge. The player thus stated he needs to score much and it’s downfall of
him to not score on corners and set-pieces. Knight stated that he had already told his team mates that he would be scoring and owing to his height, he can create a lot of problems in the six yard box. The centre back stated that having scored his first; he
aims to do the same every week and has the aim of scoring atleast 5-6 goals this season.

Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard would be unavailable for Chelsea’s Champions league encounter with Marseille at Stamford Bridge today. Lampard would also be unavailable for the England’s Euro 2012 match against Montengero. The English midfielder still
needs time to recover from the Hernia operation as is expected to be back when the league starts following the International break. Didier Drogba would still not play owing to his two match ban and Chelsea would also be without Salomon Kalou and Yossi Benayoun.
