Hospital. However, the wife of the youth team coach has stated that the move to the facility in Bury is a step forward towards his recovery.
"The staff at the Royal Bolton Hospital has been fantastic and I've felt that Gary has been in really safe hands. I'd like to thank them all. Gary needs very specialist care and so the move to Highbank is a step forward,"
claimed Debrah, wife of Gary Parkinson.
Bolton Wanderers
Johan Elmander has claimed that he is pleased to have to be playing under Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle. While talking to the press, the player stated that Coyle was one of the very best coaches in the premier league and has enjoyed working with him.
Elmander stated that he was glad to be featuring in every game and praise the manager’s tactics and inter-personal skills.
“I probably had the self-confidence when I came to Bolton, so it disappeared somewhere along the way, but now I've found it again. I have known all along that I am able to play at the level I'm at now," claimed the midfielder.
Chelsea: Chelsea left back Ashley Cole’s appearance for the English National side against Montenegro has equalled Kenny Sansom’s record of being England most capped left back. Ashley Cole, who joined the Blues in 2006, made his 86th
appearance for the national fold and was one of the best players on the pitch.
Everton: Everton midfielder Leighton Banes has stated that his side’s win over Birmingham City a week ago has lifted the spirits at the club and look to be confident to face Liverpool this weekend. Everton had a troubled first few weeks
in the premier league but were finally able to register their first win of the season against Birmingham City at St Andrews, right before the International break. The win came at an important time for the Blues as their next fixture would be against Liverpool,
which is a local derby.
"It would have been unbearable to go into the break without a win so at least we can say we have got that monkey off our back and have got that first win," Baines said.
"Now we want to go on and really do ourselves justice,” stated Baines.
The player explained the importance of the derby and stated that, “The derby is obviously the biggest game for us and the one we always look for first and getting a good result at Birmingham going into it has given us extra confidence.”
“We won our first game of the season and obviously once that happens you are looking to get on a roll so it is important for us to build on it and get another result this Sunday," explained the left back.
Baines has made over 93 appearances for the premier league side since joining the Merseyside club back in 2007. The player is in phenomenal form this season and it was his cross which led to Phil Downing scoring an own goal for Birmingham City. Liverpool
suffered a defeat against Blackpool last week and considering the psychological mind frame of the club owing to transfer issues, a very exciting encounter can be expected.
