Football Update: Premier league Transfer Rumours- Fulham 15th Jan 2011
Fulham
Espanyol young centre back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385. The Catalonia born 21 year has shown great amounts of talent for Espanyol and both Fulham and Blackburn wants to bring him to the premier league.
Fulham are in dire need of a good centre back and although Ruiz would be one for the future, the player can always act as covering for Hangeland. Ruiz has managed some impressive performances for Espanyol this season, having already played 31 times this
season. Ruiz has scored twice with his head and is 6ft and 1 inch in height. A centre back of his height is perfect for the premier league, where teams like to play the long ball for goal scoring opportunities.
Fulham manager Mark Hughes has no intentions of bringing Man City winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526. Hughes signed Adebayor during his time with Manchester City and
the Togolese striker was a success under him. Coming to Fulham would be perfect for Hughes, who is in dire need for a poacher like Adebayor.
However, Hughes would face tough competition from the likes of Real Madrid, who are interested in snapping him on a loan come buy deal from Man City. Adebayor is clearly not in the plans of manager Roberto Mancini and has fell out of favour at the club.
With Edin Dzeko now the next striker at the club, Adebayor’s time at the club remains limited and would want to leave as soon as possible. Adebayor best season was with Arsenal during the 07/08 season, where he scored 30 times in 48 appearances. Last season,
the player scored 15 times but was overshadowed with the impressive form of club captain Carlos Tevez.
With manager Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 looking to play just one striker in his 4-3-3 formation, Adebayor is not needed and Hughes would want nothing more but to sign the 26 year old. Hughes is of the mind that bringing in new players would lift the spirits of the
existing players and would show the club’s direction.
