Football Update: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 world cup opted to be switched to winter due to harsh summers

The union of footballer is of the view that the world cup of 2022, which will be held in Qatar, should be held in the winter season instead of the summer season. The temperature in summer exceeds from 45 degrees in summer in Gulf and many footballers are
of the view that the summer season will not be suitable to organize a grand football event.
It is to be notified that Gulf countries are deserted countries and the summer season is extremely hot in Gulf, so therefore the FIFA football association is trying to change the timing of the event from summer to winter.
According to very recent media and news reports, the boss of the FIFA Sepp Blatter has backed the idea of changing the world cup timings. It is also to be noticed that Blatter is concerned with the view that the World Cup should be held in the month of January
in 2022.
Qatar had won the bid of hosting the football world cup of 2022, and it is hoped to be held in the months of the June and July. But some countries, especially the world footballers union is feeling insecure to play in the months of June and July considering
the harsh weather conditions of Gulf.
According to some recent media reports, an executive from FIFA Tijs Tummers have questioned the decision of hosting the world cup in the hottest months of the year. In a very recent interview, Tijs expressed his thoughts about the matter while talking to
the media. Tummers said that it is not wise to organize the biggest football event in June and July. He said that Qatar’s average temperature is forty one degree Celsius, which is not at all suitable to play. He added that in summer, the temperature reaches
up to fifty degree and the humid conditions will certainly affect the performance level of the footballers.
No doubt the Gulf countries are considered as the hottest countries in the world and sometimes tourists are advised to not to visit the Gulf countries in the summer season. While talking about the fact Tijs Tummers said that football is one of the most favourite
games of the world and it is a spectator sport. Moreover, the crowd from all over the world will face difficulty to visit different cities during the event; added Tummers.
It is also to be acknowledged that when Qatar was declared as the winner of the world cup bid, a member of the German delegation Franz Beckenbauer raised his voice about regarding the health concerns of the players because of the extremely hot weather.
Tummers is of the view that by changing the timing of the event the concerns of the players can be minimized. Moreover, to him the winter conditions of Qatar will be suitable for the players and for the tourists as well.
According to Tummers the winter season will benefit Qatar as more tourists will visit Qatar during the world cup because of the winter break. Tijs further stated that football events in Europe are normally held in the months of July and August. So the event
will help the players to get proper rest for the European event as well.
Tummers gave the example of the recent World Cup which was held in earlier this summer in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757 and said that the recent world cup was not suitable for the players as the conditions were pretty harsh.
The idea of holding the world cup in the month of January is certainly not bad as it will give an ideal environment for the players to give their best over the playing fields. Moreover, the winter season will attract many visitors to Qatar as well.
