Latest media reports indicate that Rangers forward, Kenny Miller, has agreed a deal with Turkish Super Lig outfit Bursasor.
The Scottish footballer is set to snub Barclays Premier League side Birmingham City and Italian Seria A outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ACF-Fiorentina-c38209 by finalizing a deal with the Turkish club. Reports suggest that Bursaspor have outclassed all other bidders by offering a handsome
7.5 million pounds to the Scottish Premier League side. Miller will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract that will see him earn a cool 50,000 pounds per week.
The 31-year-old striker has been included in the squad for the game against Hamilton FC, but it looks to be his last appearance for Rangers. Bursaspor Boss Ertugrul Saglam said,
"We know all about the quality of a player like Kenny Miller. It's that type of player we are looking to sign, we need someone like him who not only scores goals, but contributes to the team as well. We want to get the transfer sorted out as quickly as
possible”
Miller’s contract runs out in June, and Rangers management would be pleased to have cashed in on the star. The deal will go a long way in financing the move for Dundee United’s David Goodwille – Rangers are expected to pay in the region of 2 million pounds
for The Terrors striker. Rangers management were expected to close a 7 million pound deal with Birmingham City but the Turkish stole the deal at the last moment. Italian Serie A outfit, ACF Fiorentina, was also interested but Viola was unable to raise finances
for the transfer.
Miller was in divine form this season, scoring 21 goals in just 17 league appearances. Coach Walter Smith understandably wants his talisman to stay. He will be a part of the team as Rangers going to face Hamilton today despite the uncertainty regarding his
future at the club. Miller was left out of the squad when Rangers defeated Kilmarnock in the cup, but will make his return at Ibrox stadium.
The 31-year-old career has been mostly based around his homeland clubs. He started with Hibernian F.C in 1998/99 season. He played for Stenhousemuir and Celtic as well, but his career only emphasizes upon two teams, Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C and his current
club Rangers. Miller has served both the clubs scoring 52 and 57 goals respectively.
