Football Update: Sir Alex Ferguson keeping his Cool over Rafael sending off
Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson was furious over the most controversial sent off of the season. The match against Tottenham on went with neither side able to score a goal but it was the referee Mike Dean’s decision to send off Brazilian defender
Rafael da Silva that provoked the anger of the Manchester United manager as well the Red Devil supporters.
The match could have ended with a different score with Rafael da Silva on the pitch but just 16 minutes left in the full time, referee Mike Dean showed a Red card to the defender, sending him off the ground and giving Sir Alex a shrill in the spine. The
decision was as wrong as it was condemned. A child could have seen that it was unintentional of Rafael da Silva to have clipped the heels of Tottenham Benoit. Anyone could have gotten away with a simple warning but it was the referee’s decision that gave way
to words said by Rafael. Who would not? He was simply protesting and nothing else. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 was also booked for the strength of his anger.
Alex Ferguson was furious with his decision but kept his calm. It would have been a déjà vu for him and it was wise of him for not saying anything to the referee. In November 2008, Ferguson was banned for two games and fined £10,000 when he went on arguing
over a sent off on the pitch with Mike Dean. Although, the red devils could not win the match as expected, still they are going strong and unbeaten in the league and expected to finish this season in some style.
As far as the decision of Rafael is concerned, the whole crowd was backing Rafael and was booing at the referee to have made such a childish decision. . The United manager said: "I don't need to discuss that. You can see that for yourself. I don't have
to discuss the referee. It's out of my bounds now, thank God." Even the manager of the rivals said that it was not a tackle and was definitely a mistake on the referee's part to have Rafael sent off the field.
