Football Update: Sir Alex Ferguson not interested in David Beckham.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has closed the doors shut on David Beckham’s returning to Old Trafford.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432, who is currently on a long term contract with LA Galaxy, has been linked to a number of clubs on a short term loan deal. Everton was one of those Premier league clubs interested in him, but Beckham ruled out a return to any premier league
club apart from Manchester United.
David Beckham was part of Manchester United’s youth academy and has been the supporter of the Red Devils since he was born. The player has won six premier league titles with the Red Devils along with a UEFA Champions league before moving to Real Madrid for
25 million Pounds in 2003.
The reason for his transfer was a row with the manager, which was of a physical nature. The player’s relationship with the manager has however improved, as the player was present when United faced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan a few years back. In addition, Beckham was also
seen in the crowd two weeks ago, when United registered a 1-0 victory over Arsenal.
Yet, the chances of the player to pull a red shirt again remain bleak and Ferguson has ruled out any such move.
"I don't think so with David at his age. I have never signed a player at that age have I?" stated the Manchester United manager.
David Beckham recently stated that for him to be back in the English National side, he would have to play and prove himself in European football. The player has already spent short loan spells at AC Milan, where he suffered an Achilles injury, ruling him
out of the summer’s World Cup.
Beckham was awarded the lifetime achievement award for his services towards British football, both on and off the pitch. This includes the 115 appearances for the English national side as well as the player acting as the ambassador for England’s World Cup
bid for 2018.
