Football Update: The Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov to go into talks for a Contract extension
Berbatov to go into talks to get a hundred and twenty thousand a week deal with the Red Devils.
The twenty nine year old Bulgarian has netted fourteen goals from fifteen appearances made in the English Premier League this season and has finished mid season on the very top of the goal scoring chart.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 started his professional football career with Pirin Blagoevgrad in 1991 and spent seven years in training before he made it to CSKA Sofia’s first team squad in 1998, where he made forty nine appearances with twenty six goals scored in a
period of three years.
Then in 2001, he made a move to Bayer Leverkusen where he spent the next five years making a hundred and fifty four appearances with sixty nine goals scored.
In 2006, Berbatov got signed to Tottenham Hotspurs and went on to spend the next two years on White Hart Lane making seventy appearances with the lily whites and scored twenty seven goals.
Then he finally made it to the ‘mother ship’ and got signed to Manchester United and moved to Old Trafford. Since 2008, he has made eighty appearances with the club with having scored thirty five goals.
This season he has just been phenomenal for the Bulgarian in spite of the fact that this player was considered to be a failure and a bad singing at Old Trafford when he initially joined the Red Devils.
The first two seasons at Old Trafford were a disappointment with Dimitar Berbatov as he got called in the same league as Diego Forlan and both were thwarted to be failures in the squad.
Now the Bulgarian only has a year and a half left on his contract and the player is about to turn thirty in the coming month but it is expected that he is going to sign an extension in the transfer window.
The reports are coming in that the player will sign a contract if the club offers him a hundred and twenty thousand a week pay deal for the future.
The other possibility is that United offers the Bulgarian a contract for a longer period of time but with comparatively less pay.
