Football World Cup : Wayne Rooney loses his temper Capello to rethink against Slovenia

The star English striker Wayne Rooney is putting in a Herculean effort. Not just in attempts to net the ball and guide “The Three Lions” to victory but to control the unleashing of his frustration. Still he is failing.

Rooney took out his anger at fans while they were booing at the team instead of cheering after 0-0 draw against Algeria. The incident happened in the last stages of the match when the team missed a couple of instances for edging out but missed. When the fans saw the match end towards another dismissal performance they started shouting and booing against their team.

With missing out on several goals himself the Manchester United forward failed to control his anger and launched at the fans shouting about their disappointing and demoralizing behaviour. However there was no doubt that it was another dismissive performance by The Three Lions in Group C.

After the chants the world class striker got so infuriated that he taunted his home fans with, “Nice to see your home fans boo you. That's what loyal support is”.

England is in a very tough spot right now. If they want to even dream of entering the next stage of 16 they must triumph over Slovenia which will happen to be their final qualifying match.

England’s manager Fabio Capello has at last admitted that his strategies have not been working as expected in the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. While talking to media after the poor performance against Algeria, the Italian told that he will have to try 'something different' in the match against Slovenia.

The match with Algeria showed a clear lack of plan as the English possession of the ball barely went ahead from the midfield. They hardly gave the Algerian defences any shake and rather just played a plain old game of defence. The result was this that now they are placed at the third position in Group C.

Facing Slovenia at Port Elizabeth will be their last chance to redeem themselves. And progress forwards from the knock out phase.

Critics and experts have lambasted against the 64 year old Capello for his lack of adaptability from a 4-4-2 strategy. The Capello has admits that the time for change has come and he is even to rethink his first line up. This will definitely bring up the issue of his super sub Peter Crouch and his ability to score in the nick of time. So far the World Cup hasn’t seen much of him.

In a press conference after the match, the English coach stated, “The team did not play with the spirit that I like. I can change; I will try to do something different. We did not win the back the ball quick enough. We played without pressure. We did not play well. We missed easy passes. We have to play another game, and we hope we will be happy”.

Capello and his squad have made enemies with fate. They have lost four of their major stars including David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand and despite poor performance the chances of winning in games have been met by pure form of bad luck. The ‘Golden Generation’ team clearly has a last chance of impressing its fans despite playing under pressure and with over whelming stack of jeopardizes.

Capello later expressed, “I don't know if it is pressure or just not a good moment. It was not the same team that I know, the team that I know when we train. Maybe it was due to the pressure. I hope not because of fear”.

Hopefully the coach added, "It will not be difficult to lift the team. It will be the last chance that we have to go forward. The players know what they have to do”.
