Football is for those who perform
Surviving in large clubs is difficult, as football has become a piece of business featuring only those players who perform well. Sometimes, clubs don’t realise the stardom that some players earn out of a game and they are sold without knowing what form they are capable of achieving.
Such is the case of the Arsenal player whose presence is making an impact on the football field. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in 2003, at the age of 15. As is the custom for most players in Arsenal, he was sent on loan to Falkirk to gain the stamina and experience in the game.
He was impressive from the start, making two hat-tricks in his first 9 matches and scoring an overall of 16 goals in 18 games. He made himself stand out of other players by scoring another hat-trick and was titled the SPF player of the month for October and November. However, after the six month period club manager Arsene Wenger decided to sell Stokes as he had players ahead in the Emirates striking ranks.
Stokes was bought by Sunderland for £2 million. But he was not able to be in sync with the team and this was negatively affecting his aptitude and proficiency. He was only able to score 5 goals in thirty-seven appearances. He gained back his attacking prowess when the Scottish Hibernian Football Club bought him in 2009.
The club was then under former Falkirk manager John Hughes. His scores increased with 24 goals in 48 games and he won titles of the SPL goal of the season and all-time fastest goal of the SPL.
Celtic was impressed by the striker’s game and they secured him for the 2010-11 season. The 22-year-old is continuing at an irrefutable pace, securing 17 goals from his 24 games during the season. The next move of the player is in hype. According to critics, he has matured his play enough to play in the best leagues.
The Irish has a flaunting style and has gained the experience to play the English Premier League. Arsene Wenger may have been mistaken in selling Stoke, but then Arsenal could not win all players, even being a giant club.
