Football news: Predicting the Starting 11 of AC Milan Part 2
Luca Antonini (Left Back):
The Italian defender has been a part of AC Milan since 2008. He basically started his career from Milan back in the year 2000 but was sent out on loan to Prato where he managed to appear for the club for 26 times in the same season. The youngster was then sent out on loan again and joined Ancona. In the year 2003, he became a part of Sampdoria but he wasn’t really a big success in the Italian club. He was then sent out on loan to different clubs and then managed to learn his way to the top and then made his way back to the club where he started, Milan.
He is now playing for AC Milan and Allegri is definitely going to utilize him as a left back. The versatile footballer is able to play on both the sides, but since there are not many good left backs in the club, Luca Antonini is going to fill the spot to help the team from the left flank.
Alesandro Nesta (Centre Back):
The world cup winning Italian defender is regarded as one of the best defenders to have lived and is definitely going to feature as a centre back for the Italian club. Nesta has done a lot to help his club get out of difficult times and was even a part of the defensive wall when the legendary Maldini used to head Milan as a centre back.
Nesta started his career from the Italian club Lazio and then became an important part of AC Milan. He is Milan’s most consistent player and the new coach is definitely going to consider him as a permanent centre back for his side.
The Italian defender is experienced and even though he does not have the pace that is required at the centre back position, he still manages to block the strikers that are against him, with the help of his experience and great reflexes. His aerial ability has helped the team win a lot of matches as he has even scored a lot of goals from the set pieces. Nesta is definitely a player that the team can count on.
Thiago Silva (Centre Back):
If Nesta cannot provide with the pace that is required in the centre back position, this man can. The Brazilian centre back is young and has quick feet with amazing aerial ability. He can head the ball to safety whenever the team wants to defend it and he is definitely a first choice for the club. The new coach has no better replacement for this man and he is definitely going to feature for the club this year.
The young Brazilian has been able to perform fabulously in the AC Milan jersey and he enjoyed an outstanding form last season as well. Thiago Silva is the first choice centre back for the new coach, Allegri.
Just like the Italian club requires, he can move up the field to set up an offside trap and he can run back to the 18 yard box to help defend the ball during a counter attack. The Brazilian has impressed so much that he has been called up for the Brazilian squad that is going to play Barca B. The new Brazilian coach is testing the talented young Brazilians and Thiago Silva is definitely going to feature in the Brazilian team and also the Italian club.
Daniele Bonera (Right Back):
Daniele Bonera is a new signing for the club and the right back position can be shared between many players as the Italian club has made many right backs to help assist them. Bonera featured in the first match of the Italian league and performed really well for the club. He is not only an amazing defender, his ability to move upfront from the left flank to help assist Ronaldinho who plays on the left wing, is simply amazing.
He makes a move towards the 18 yard box of the opponents to help the team with good crosses so that players like Pato can score goals, and this time round with a tall player like Zlatan Ibrahimovic included in the squad, his assists are definitely going to matter.
The 29 year old is quick and a very good left footed defender. He is experienced and he can easily move forward and move back to his own half to help the team defend goals and counter attacks.
