SO my boyfriend play's on afootball team and likes to watch football, but I don't know anything really about football. Cna someone recommend where to learn about it like a website or something? When do football games usually come on? Can someone break it down for me? I really need to learn about it so I haev something to impress my boyfriend with.

well...football is over now, but i'll break it down.

the center is the "fat guy" who "throws" the ball between his legs.

the other "fat guys" in the line block the opposing team, without the ball, (defense).

defense tries to tackle the person with the ball to the ground.

the quaterback takes the ball and either hands it to another player, usually the running back(the one standing way behind the ball), or will throw the ball to a wide reciever(the one who is very far away from the ball at the beginning.)

6 points for crossing the bold line (touchdown). (you can tell when they start showboating or running around hugging other players).

1 point for kicking the ball through the yellow posts directly after the touchdown. (you can also try to score from 2 yards and get 2 points.)

3 points for kicking the ball through the posts or field goal posts any other time.

each half begins with kicking the ball very far off of the ground.

if you see someone kicking the ball by punting it, the ball goes to the other team.

Thats basically the overview.

football games come on sundays from september to febuary. college is confusing so dont get into that yet ask your boyfriedn for assitance.
