Football question never have played befour?

iv never played football but im going to start. i know you can tackle the quaterback. can you wrap your hands around someone when you tackle them? and what does a gaurd do on the deffense? who does he go after?

ya you can wrap your hands around and tackle someone, just don't grab their facemask

if your playing defense and guard, its the nose guard position and you have to penetrate and stop either the running back with the ball or sack the quarterback when he has the ball

you will be taught to wrap your arms around them and drive your feet and a guard usually pulls and blocks for the tailback or running back. enjoy your season

ofcourse u can wrap your hands around. the guard is just a blocker
