Football teams??

Question

well i used to live in w.a and i go for fremantle dockers

and recently i moved away and everyone goes for sydney swans and they ask why i still go for freo

i say "coz its the team i grew up with" and they just laugh at me and say freo sux

is it alright to go for a team thats in another state??

i live in wa and go for sydney and everybody gives me c**p but its great when sydney win because im the only one that can say anything.

theres no way you even think of changing to sydney we are freo suporters through and through with players such as pavo and the giant sandilands we had a rough start but u watch freo will bounce back and we definitly need you to be a supporter when fans in w.a cant get across u be the one that cheers for freo the loudest in sydney

Of course it's alright. I live in Tassie and I go for St.Kilda from way before there time in York park and still after they left playing here.

You can go for whatever team you like, it doesn't matter what state. Plus if your team beats the state you are livinf in team you can bag out most people in that state hehe!

sure why not- I go for the hawks becuase that is who all my family supported but live in brisbane.

by the way every team will have its glory days, freo is on the way up mate- dont worry about it....

There is nothing wrong with staying loyal to the team you have always supported, I admire you for doing so.  Some poeple can be so fickle and just go for whoever is winning at the time.  I am a Brisbane Lions supporter and although I live in Brisbane (and have my entire life), if I were to move interstate I would still support them no matter what.

I'm Sydney born and bred but have always supported Essendon. Most teams in all the codes are marketed to appeal to people everywhere, not just the local area. As said above you should stick with your team no matter where you live or how they are going.

Well I go for the Swans but I live in Sydney. Of course it's OK to support whatever team you want in whichever state they are in. Support comes from the heart. You keep supporting your team and good luck to you and them.

It's even better than going for a team in it's own area because when you win you can give it to them BIG time.

I'm a big beliver that you don't change your team...if you support a team they are for life or until they don't exist!!!!
