Football transfer Rumors: July 21, 2010 - Fabregas on loan at Arsenal, Balotelli to City
Barcelona’s midfield magician, Xavi Hernandez has issued a warning to Arsenal that stated that they only have Cesc Fabregas on a loan for another year and that it is only a matter of time before the captain makes his way back home to the Camp Nou.
He was quoted to have said, “We know where Cesc wants to be this coming season, but perhaps there is not enough time for Barcelona and Arsenal to make a deal. Arsenal need to understand that they are only delaying the inevitable. If we don’t manage to get his signature this season then Arsenal only really have him on loan for a year – because there is nothing they can do to stop him joining next summer.”
These were bold words from the midfielder, since his words have only worked as fuel to re-ignite the relationship between Arsenal and Barcelona that was already ablaze.
Manchester United’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that he is ready to participate in the race to sign Werder Bremen and German international midfielder, Mesut Ozil. Ferguson has previously tried to sign the player when he was just a teenager and played for Schalke 04.
The manager is aware of the fact that Ozil only has a year left on his contract at Werder Bremen and that the German club side would be looking to make a maximum financial profit on the sale of the player.
Manchester City have apparently joined the race to grab Benfica’s highly rated Brazilian midfielder Ramires. Ramires has been regarded as the next Ronaldhino by a few and has been giving tremendous performances throughout the season.
City officials have also landed in Italy to discuss the final parts of a deal that could see Inter Milan forward, Mario Balotelli head to England and make his way to the Eastlands. The deal is rumored to be around the range of twenty three million pounds, but the Inter representatives had previously stated that the player was not for sale, however it seems like they have changed their mind about that.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played down all talks that linked him with a move away from the Camp Nou. The Swedish international has not had the best of seasons with the Spanish giants Barcelona but he has stated that he wishes to play out the remaining four years of his contract at the club.
Chelsea have been formally denied by Santos, from signing Brazilian prodigy Neymar. Nyemar has been highly impressive and is being regarded as the next Robinho. Chelsea made a bid of around seventeen million pounds for the player, but Santos feel that the price is too little for a player that has so much potential and talent flowing through his veins.
Real Madrid’s new manager, Jose Mourinho has shown interest in signing Chelsea centre back, Ricardo Carvalho. Mourinho was responsible for bringing Carvalho to the Stamford Bridge when he was appointed as manager there and seems to want to lure the same player to Madird.
