Hi, I am an freshman looking to join the freshman football team. I'm 5-9 and weigh 220 lbs. I'm looking to try out as center. Tryouts are tomorrow. I'm wondering what to expect for tryouts.

  1. Yeah dude u seem fat unless most is muscle hey no offence to bein fat some football players are but dude expect running pucking water then all over again. Hey but don't worry a guy ur size prolly will start o-line at least 3 games.

  2. hey my lil bro tried out last week he said they work you hard...laps up and down field, push ups, crunches, running time, throwing distance, and a bunch of other things. he said that if your nervous they sence it and you may not make the team so just be ready and have a goal and reach for it! GOOD LUCK!

  3. The want to see people in good shape and make sure you have good snaps

  4. It's somewhat hard to know what to expect from a specific coach. I would mainly expect a lot of agility drills, position specific drills (for you it would be o-line footwork), and some running. Don't freak out too much about it, though. The coaches won't expect much out of you, and you are a huge freshman.

  5. running...lots of it. If you can snap the ball and not drop it, all the while giving a half *** effort to block the guy in front of you ya should be good. Unless your schools a real big FB school

  6. Give it all you got. Sports are great and years from now you wil relish your high scool days

  7. You guys are going to need to be fast. You gotta run. Don't sweat it, the way you sound, they could use you. Just don't be a softy. I know that you think this is weird coming from a girl, but my dad is a college football coach. It works. I watch him all the time tell his guys this. Just be tough.
