Football update: Chelsea not happy with Tevez’s transfer request withdrawal
The twist in the Tevez - City saga reached another point when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 striker had withdrew the transfer request. He was the talk of the town since he tabled his request to Manchester City management over emails and after clear-the-air talks with Roberto
Mancini, he withdrew his request. So what changed his mind? Probably nothing but the relationships between him and certain club executives had gone beyond repair. According to a report which says that Chelsea and Real Madrid were to swoop him because apparently
he was thinking of retirement.
Manchester City Club’s official website had declared that Tevez had taken back the transfer request formally, in one-on-one meeting with Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, Manchester City manager, after his return from Turin. City played a 1-1 draw with Juventus at Stadio
Olimpico and manager left Turin right away to meet up with 26-year-old player. Kia Joorabchian flared up on Chief Executive of Manchester City, Garry Cook, and declared him the motive behind Carlos’s acrimonious move. Another reason, as speculated by press
and media, could be the Carlos’s overseas family as he misses his family and requested a trip back home during his injury period at Eastlands.
Chelsea officials were ready to sign Tevez as this is not a coincidence when Tevez put the request and Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea manager, appeared delighted and announced that he had the backing of the club owners and money to spend. Carlo Ancelotti dramatically
attempted to win the race to get hold over Argentinean star footballer by calling him personally. In 2009, Ancelotti took the Tevez’s telephone number from latter’s colleague Hernan Crespo, former Argentinean striker, and stressed him to join FC http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Crespo
worked with Ancelotti when he was loaned by Chelsea to Milan almost four years ago. Crespo helped his former manager contact Tevez as they talked on Sunday and Ancelotti is trying to strengthen his squad by expanding his net to secure best available talent.
Carlos Tevez revealed that he had talked to Ancelotti after he left Manchester United about his expected move to Stamford Bridge. But Ancelotti’s offer was never ‘concrete’.
