Question

Under Warrant Extradition, what is considered the "WESTERN STATES"? Obviously California, etc, but officailly what are the actual states and boundries? Someone asked me today and I really couldn't give then a well informed answer other then the obvious.

I've seen that a few times on hits from the midwest out of California - you only know what a "western state" is when you send the hit confirmation and ask if they will extradite.

I do think it is any state that touches California.

Well, I searched the entire 1,385 pages of the NCIC 2000 manual and didn't find the answer.

Seems to me it's something entered into the miscellaneous field and as such, it's probably user-defined.

Hello, I'm NCIC certified. There is no certain "western states", only when the hit confirmation is sent it will say extradite or not. No written rule regarding that.
