Chipper & John Smoltz have retired.

I think Brian McCann (as long as the Braves dont let him go)

He just seems like he has what it takes to be the captian of a team.

  1. I agree - McCann is the man.

  2. I am still in denial that Chipper will ever retire. But yes McCann would have to be my pick as well. He is signed long term and seems the most likely to want to stay with the Braves his whole career. Frenchy seemed like he had potential too but this season he has really floundered and he isn't signed.

  3. I think you are absolutely right. He plays the position that demands leadership and he has not been in any trade rumors so he will definitely stay with the organization for years to come.

  4. McCann

  5. McCann would definitely be the right choice. He's signed long-term, and we will keep hold of him for his entire career if possible, and I know he wants to stay here. Him and Frenchy were seen as the next franchise players, so they should be here a while.

  6. McCann is a good choice, but the position of Captain is going by the wayside. I don't think there will be one when Chipper retires.
