For Christians that believe all the different religions in the world are an indirect result of Satan.?

.... I have a question.

Please forgive my ignorance because I am not a Christian. I know not all Christians believe this so this question is only addressed to those that do.

How specifically did Satan inspire people to form other religions besides Christianity?

Did he use his powers to telepathetically influence the first Hindus to form their religion?

I heard SOME (not all) Christians believe that Satan can appear in front of people and disguise himself as an angel in order to convince people to go away from the truth.

Do you believe this is what Satan did?

If you do not believe this, then how did Satan specifically influence the formation of other religions if he didn't use these methods? What are your own personal thoughts on this?

Thank you for your answers.

  1. Mohammed himself said he spoke with `familiar spirits`` while in his cave. It wasn`t until his wife told him it must be the angel gabriel that he decided himself a prophet.

Satan is a liar and a murderer. He desires nothing more than for you to turn away from God. He`s not above using different religions to do so.

  2. The serpent told Eve she would become like God knowing good and evil.....Pride in ones abilities and knowledge is the start of all these false religions.   Satan is very crafty if he  he could convince Eve to eat the fruit how easy is it to convince man he's like God.

  3.   Satan is very cunning, he knows the Bible backward and forwards. (we can't forget that before he became Satan and cast out of Heaven he was one of the head angels.)

So what he does is he puts these thoughts into your head that have just enough truth to fool you. He'll use his knowledge against you. That's what he did when he tried to tempt Jesus in the desert. He said that the Bible said that Jesus were the all powerful God. So than why doesn't he just turn a rock into a loaf of bread. That doesn't sound so bad. Except Jesus knows Satan. It starts out with something small, and it doesn't seem like such a big deal, but eventually it becomes bigger and you start to do things that are so much worse. It's like putting a frog in a pot. if you put it in a pot boiling with water it'll jump out. But if you put it in a pot with cool water and slowly heat it up, the frog will stay in the pot basically until it explodes.

So listening to Satan at any point is a sin.

But how he starts it is by putting " mostly truths" into your head so you believe Him. Then he slowly takes away the truth until you find yourself in a new religion that you basically made up and doesn't really have any core value/meaning or real truth. It's like having a glass of 100% fresh ice water. It's crystal clear and tastes delicious. But Satan comes up and puts a drop of sewage water in the glass, and it ruins the fresh water. Noone will wnat to drink out of it. The ice water is truth, and the sewage water is a lie. It doesn't matter how much truth you have, if there is just a little bit of a lie in that truth it ruins it.

  4. Partially. I believe Muhammad may have actually had an evil angel appear and deceive him. After all, Paul warned about that very thing. And Islam is a mixture of a few lies and a lot of truth which is extremely deceptive and is how Satan operates. But some of the other religions are simply a result of nature worship(based on ignorance of the natural world) or were a gossip/telephone type of religions based on oral tradition becoming confused over time.

Think about this: Every culture understands the concept of evil spirits. This fuels much of people's religion and shows that the devil is actively working to confuse and mislead the people of the world.

  5. Well that is a very interesting question. The funny thing is I have never heard the answer, nor have I actually paid it that much mind. And yes I have read many stories like this. That the devil did this and that, and is responsible for a plethora of man's downfalls.

But come to think of it, the story stops there. I have not read an answer. But now that it is on my mind I may dig a bit deeper into my own life and try and find one.

Western religion is very cut and dry. There is little room for grey areas. So snap decisions and opinions regarding religion and the mythos involved often have zero actual explanations. They are simply said and followed without further investigation.

  6. The Christians are gonna tell you it was sin.

But, shh! Don't tell them I spoiled it for you.

  7. I don't believe any religion is persuaded by Satan. In most religions they believe in a god or a higher power so in that case they still believe in a god. . why wouldn't Satan have them worship him. . .

  8. 2 Thes 2 "In the last days, the Evil One will use every form of wicked deceit on the world."

Actually think about what that says.  Every form of wicked deceit means every form, it covers it all.  All.

  9. Who said it was indirect?
