I'm not sure if Costco requires that you have a recent eye exam in a year's span for contacts but I really don't want to pay about $100 more, especially since I know I can see fine with the prescription I have now. My last eye exam was probably a year and a half ago.

  1. An eye prescription is only good for a year, after that it is expired and you must get an eye exam to get a new prescription.

  2. Actually it depends on the state. In Utah they are good for two years unless the Rx SPECIFICALLY says only one. There are only 5 states like this but I can't remember or find which ones they are. If you call 1800Contacts I'm sure they would tell you which ones!

  3. The answer above is right. It sucks doesn't it?
