  1. Historians employed full time in academia earned an average of $62,200 in 2007–08


  2. I imagine it can range from a little to a lot.    If you work at Columbia U. and publish books and journal articles...you're making bank.  If you work some a little town's historical society giving small local tours...probably not a lot.
