For Homeschooling Parents in the UK, do you use Private Tutors?

I am starting to give Private Maths tuition and I'm interested to know if Homeschooling Parents ever use private tutors. I have never taught in schools, but have taught adults and helped coach a couple of students through their GCSE's, so I hopefully bring a different perspective to a traditional school teacher. What are your opinions?

People will use private tutors if they need to. Most try to avoid that because tutors are expensive! Very few homeschoolers have money coming out of their ears :) I, personally, would try to find a curriculum with a very good teachers manual before I'd resort to a tutor. It may be worth your time to educate yourself about homeschooling maths programs since you are competing with them, not with traditional school teachers.
