For ICAO atc training,what is the maximum age limit to commence training?

I have aviation experience,and know I can become a great controller if given the chance. I'm 43 years.

The FAA mandates that you can not become a controller past your 31st birthday.  The reasoning behind that is that no controller can work past 25 years and no one can work past their 56th birthday so the latest age you can be installed as a controller is 31.  I know its not the answer you are looking for but think about it this way:

    If you are assigned to a facility right now it will take you (on average) 2-3 years of on the job training before you will actually be able to control traffic yourself.  This will mean that you will be 46 by the time you are working at your full potential.  The FAA isn't going to spend all that money on training you if you are only going to be eligible for 10 years.

    As for Eurocontrol I am not sure what their regulations are but it seems like they go on strike every other week so you might want to wait a bit before you try that route.
