  1. x = -1/15 (negative one fifteenth)

    thats what i got..

  2. Multiply each term on both sides by the LCD 15.

    10(x+3) - 45x = 30x - 6(x-1) + 30

    10x + 30 - 45x = 30x - 6x + 6 +30

    -35x + 30 = 24x + 36

    -59x = 6

    x = -6/59

  3. 2/3 (x+3) -3x=2x-2/5 (x-1) +2

    2/3 (+) 3x -3x=2x-2/5 (-) 1x +2

    2/3 = 1x -2/5 +2

    2/3 = 1x 1 3/5

    1 5/15 = 1x

    (one and five/ fithteens = x)

       thats what i got

  4. Start out with distributive property

    2/3x+2-3x=2x-2/5x+2/5+2

    Now combine like terms

    -7/3x+2=8/5x+12/5

Now put your x on one side and your numbers on the other.

    -2/5=59/15x

Then multiply by the reciprocal of 59/15 on both sides to get x by itself

    -2/5 * 15/59=x

    -6/59 = x
