For Mothers who had a C-Section?

Question

Do you know how many weeks after a c-section can you take a tub bath? they say you don't suppose to take a tub bath only a shower or sponge bath,but the question is when can you take a tub bath? Thank you

i was told to take one after my stickers came off my scar. i had these little white tape things that were put on there after they took the staples out. i was not allowed to peel them off, they had to come off on there own. i think this took about two weeks. im not sure. ask your doctor and see what she says. i took a shower for those two weeks.

I did as soon as I could get up and down comfortably by myself. For me that was about 2 1/2 weeks. One thing to remember the more you move the better you will heal soooo much faster I know it will hurt but do it! I did it and was so happy I was off my pain pills by 2 weeks and moving around normally by 3 weeks.

You can take a bath after 6 weeks.  Or you can ask your OB and he may give you the OK sooner.
