For New Zealand natives! Would it be nice to move there or visit sometime?

I've been looking at different countries and New Zealand looks nice. So does Canada but I like New Zealand better. Is the weather good there? How are the people, are they generally nice? What are some things I could do there? What's the best city to visit, Wellington? I want to go somewhere else because I actually want to experience the world instead of staying in America all of my life like lots of people tend to do. Looks beautiful. Anything else you can think of that you could tell me would be appreciated.

Optional: I'm not trying to be racist but am I the only black person that listens to Daft Punk?

  1. Have you heard about the working holiday scheme?

If you are between 18 and 30 years old and hold an

American passport, this might be a great way to learn

first hand more about New Zealand and its people.

Find out more about here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/s...

  2. OF COURSE NEW ZEALAND IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! LOL IT'S A GREEN COUNTRY!!!!!! IT'S ALSO VERY COLD. SOUTH ISLAND IS THE BEST!!! I ALSO LOVE THE NORTH. COME VISIT IF YOU CAN HANDLE LOTS OF FUN AND ADVENTURE ;) HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. You can check some good articles about New Zealand at http://newzealand.mvmtravel.com/news/new...

  4. definately visit. As for living, some people don'y like the slower more relaxed pace of life over here.

But see and judge for your self, many love it here myself included and it will alwasy be home

  5. I have seen thanswers . they are right. Come and enjoy

This a multicultural country.  There is lots to do. Start from Auckland  with over 40 volcanoes in the region to the south island and its beauty.

  6. New Zealand is a beautiful country and surprisingly, I am writing this from Canada hahaha, altho I live in NZ. I live in Auckland which is the largest city in the country. It is a much slower pace of life - and much less commercialised. I like to think that New Zealanders have a much more "common sense" approach to anything, especially compared to America. Like around the mountains and wilderness there are no barriers, thus preserving the natural beauty of the environment - unlike america where there are barriers all over it to make sure somebody doesnt fall. If you are in an accident in NZ, you can't sue for damages, so we never hear about people suing for millions of dollars for ridiculous things. They don't babysit you! The kiwi people are very friendly and accomodating - they have a real DIY attitude. And it doesnt snow in Auckland hahaha.

From what I have learnt of Canadians, they are very friendly, but the weather goes from one extreme to the other - they have harsh winters and muggy summers. New Zealand is much more temperate, with temperatures very rarely raising above 30 degrees celcius. The south island can get below freezing  but in Auckland, it will rarely get below 5 degrees.

    Hope this helps :)

  7. New Zealand is a stunningly beautiful Country if you get good weather. Winter unless you want to go skiing is cold wind blown and wet. You will get better wages in Australia and more job opportunities. So if you can get a work permit I would suggest go over in Summer and try it out.

  8. i from new zealand  born and breed ,, and i never live anywhere else ,  4millions in nz , different culture , 4 main cities , and heaps of towns ,, weather lovely in the summer moths , bit nippy in the winter ,,, we are a sporting countries, millions of sheep, aand vey clean and green ,, great place to bring up family ,, compared to many counties it is very peacful, , we are divides between north and south islands , we have heaps of tourist coming here , and they say they love here too ,,,new zealanders call it god own  , the scenty is beatufil here   come out for a holiday and see if your like it,,

  9. New Zealand is a great country to visit and/or live in - our climate is certainly not as harsh as canada's but we still have the magnificent mountain scenery to show off

heres an idea of the average sort of temperatures we experience in different parts of NZ:

    http://www.tourism.net.nz/new-zealand/ab...

summers can be quite hot and muggy but are generally fairly "mild" as in not often more than 30 degrees celsius (86 degrees F)

kiwis are considered amongst some of the friendliest people in the world, as a nation i think we are certainly very adaptable to new cultures, our immigration rates are very high so a mix of people from different nations is normal to us.

as for the "best" city to visit well wellington is certainly a nice city, very culture rich with the national museum, art galleries and the like but i would recommend the south island as the best "show case" of what NZ is all about. Christchurch on the east coast of the south island, approximately halfway south, is the second largest city in NZ ahead of Wellington, with a population of 400,000+. Queenstown which is approximately a 7 hours (magnificently scenic) drive southwest from CHCH is considered to be the adventure capital of the world. here  you will find a town with no shortage of activity's to partake in and scenery to rival that of the Swiss alps

i highly recommend you visit NZ it truly is an amazing country (I've traveled to 13 others including the US and Canada)

    for inspiration see:
