For North Carolinians (or former residents)...concerning our older residents on a fixed income.?

How do you feel about the way the state is treating the older resident. Many are loosing their homes from the high taxes and are being forced into poverty while the lawmakers fight and bicker with each other in Raleigh. Your thoughts?

My mom lives there and she has not been forced out of her home yet, but she's having a real tough time making ends meet.  My siblings and I keep her afloat financially.

i thimk the older pepole are treated like c**p here the goverment closed most places where they could live resonably

Sounds like most states, unfortunately. At least oil is going back down.
