For People Who Know AFL And NRL?

Question

can someone give me a good reason why one is better than the other (personally i follow afl (go saints) but go for the cowboys)

AND

why afl/nrl do you barrack for (in australia)

Geezz NRL all the way

theres WAY more entertainment

yeah AFL is enjoyable (go swans)

but NRL is exciting, there is more biff, the players are toughest and the game to me is just overall nailbiting most of the time.

Because they have been around for years.

you know it had been 18 years since they made it into the top 8? 2007 they made it.

It's just your own preference, which game you prefer. No one on here is going to be able to tell you NRL is better than AFL or AFL is better than NRL because it's just what every individual likes. I personally like AFL :)

AFL is better because it is a Victorian sport. and everyone thinks that the AFL players are g*y, but its the other way round, NRL players are the g*y ones. i follow AFL (Collingwood) but if the NRL is on when theres nothing else on then ill watch it i guess but i wont unless Melbourne Storm is playing.

It's a geographical thing.  If you are from ACT, NSW or QLD, it's NRL & Super 14 all the way.  

If you are from VIC, TAS, SA or WA, it's AFL.  The NT seems to be divided, possibly leaning towards AFL.

My teams are ACT Brumbies and Canberra Raiders.  

AFL, I will occasionally watch it, but can take it or leave it.  I find it to be too Melbourne centric

I moved around so much when I was young that I don't have any geographical allegiance to either code - I enjoy them both equally. I find it weird how people can't enjoy the other code because they are committed to their own, it's like refusing to watch cricket because you are a baseballer.

AFL people seem to be the most obstinate, most leaguies don't have a problem trying to understand AFL and enjoy it.

i go for the kangaroos in the afl

i go for the melbourne storm (premiers 2007) in the afl
