The AC mains supply voltage ranges from 220 to 245 . If you live in the country areas though it can go a bit lower at peak load times in the winter especially if you live at the end of the line and a lot of people are useing heating and cooking in the early evening.

The old valve TVs used to suffer from the low voltage at those times with the picture shrinking and eventually the tuner valves dropping out and stopping the picture altogether !
