  1. i assume that you want to convert 83 km/h to .85 m/s,

this is an easy way u can do it

    _83 km_|_1000m__|_1 hour_  |

    1 hour    |  1 km      |  3600 s  |

What you do is to make sure the units on top and bottom will canceled out, just left the unit that u want to CONVERT TO.  Above, km  (top) and km (bottom) will canceled out. you have m left on top. Same thing, hour (bottom) will cancle with hour (top) left you s at bottom, it's mean u have m/s left...after you multiply top for top, and devided by the bottom. (83*1000*1)/(1*1*3600) u will get the answer you want. hope it helps

  2. Um, you can't convert a velocity into an acceleration. Is there some more information you can give?

  3. You can't convert Km/h (velocity units) into m/s2 (acceleration units), if you want to convert Km/h into m/s then do this:

    multiply by 1000 (from Km to m) and divide by 3600 (1h = 3600s)

    83Km/h x 1h/3600 x 1000m/1Km = 83x1000/3600 m/s

    Hope it helped
