  1. math+reading=score

  2. "Combined score - term College Board uses to refer to the total score of its SAT sections: Critical reading, math, and writing (the writing section is not used for Bright Futures or Byrd eligibility determinations). Bright Futures will create the best combined SAT score using the critical reading and math sections from different test dates. Byrd uses the best combined score from a single sitting. "

    So, only math and reading.

  3. almost all colleges only look at math and reading. the writing part isn't hugely important. it may be eventually but right now its pretty insignificant

  4. For bright futures its just math and reading

    For college its all three but really no one gives about writing

  5. All three. Colleges usually only take your best score from each category when they compare you with other kids. For example, let's say you took it twice.

    Take 1 (sample score):

    Reading= 400

    Math= 600

    Writing=800

    score= 1800/2400

    Take 2

    Reading= 600

    Math=550

    Writing=500

    score= 1650/2400

    The colleges don't usually care about your two scores of 1800 and 1650, instead they would take the best individual scores and combine them.

    Example:

    Best reading score= 600

    Best math score=600

    Best writing score= 800

    Final Score that colleges will use= 2000/2400
