For Sims 2 Downloads, .Rar files?

Question

I can download the .rar files but they don't go onto the game. (i.e I downloaded an outfit and it want one of the "outfit" choices) Can anybody tell me to get them to work. I am downloading from www.modthesims2.com is that the best site?

You need to have WinRAR program to extract the file that you have downloads so it can be in the game.

you can download it there.

EDIT: umm, try right click on the rar file and see if you see "extract here", if not, you need the WinRAR.

MTS is an excellent site. The thing you need to do is download winrar. It's trial version is free and technically will not expire.Place the RAR files here

my documets>ea games>sims 2>downloads

Once the file is there right click the file and select extract here
