For St. Louis Rams’ new general manager, Les Snead, action speaks louder than words – NFL News
Les Snead has started showing the signs, which impressed and prompted St. Louis Rams to appoint him as the franchise’s new general manager.
Among many sound available options, Snead was selected to take charge of Rams’ front office, and by the looks of it, he does not seem like a disappointing acquisition.
The determined Snead has reiterated his commitment of taking Rams to glory and said that he is not going to talk the talk. Instead, he said, he would walk the walk to show his capabilities.
Following his appointment, Snead said that it is time to take some important decisions and that he is not going to talk about them. He believes that his actions would represent him.
He said:
“I think we are not far away at all. Now I will say this, I don’t think I need to sit up here and talk about it.”
Snead added:
“I think we need to start making very sound, very superior decisions and we’ll stack those and I think that will lead to success. I would rather not talk about it, just show you.”
In his National Football League (NFL) career, Snead has learned the tricks of the trade by experiencing both difficult and glorious times.
As the director of player personnel in Atlanta Falcons, Snead hired and fired many players; some of the decisions went against him as well.
He also monitored different scouts and picked the best for his team, which experienced a winning as well as losing era.
Keeping all these aspects in mind, Rams appointed him thinking that the experience he has had in mastering the art would certainly help in revamping Rams’ damaged reputation.
Snead himself thinks that he could be fruitful for his new organisation.
He remarked:
“I’ve seen a lot. I’ve witnessed, been a part of, and made some good decisions and some not so good decisions. In all of those experiences, you learn from them and after 17 years I think you build a foundation where you’re ready to start making some right
decisions.”
With all eyes set of Snead and Rams’ head coach, Jeff Fisher, expectations for the next season are certainly high.
