Question:

For UK members- BT question!?

My sister has a BT phone line which withholds her number on all calls. I have a line which blocks anonymous callers to keep sales calls out (and it also keeps her calls out). What is the number she needs to dial in front of my number to lift the "number withheld" feature ? I know there is one. I think it's 3 or 4 numbers. I know it's not 141 or 1471 so if anyone knows it, pls pass it on. I've looked on BT's website to no avail.

Thanks in advance. Merry Christmas to all.

  1. Dialing 1470 before she calls you each time will solve the problem. This can be simplified if she has the kind of phone that allows you to assign numbers to a button to save having to remember to type it in each time.

    Have fun :)

  2. 1470 should lift her number so its whows up, well it does with my virgin landline...

    good luck

  3. ring bt.. the number is on the bill..

their website i did find very confusing, i used it earlier to help a friend out and took me ages to get an actual number to call..

ironically they wanted me to mail them instead. which i find annoying.

  4. yep 1470

  5. i doubt very much that bt have engineered in this level of sophistication in order to cater for your paranoid delusional family.  i hope that this helps.

  6. its a differant num for every 1 else what wud be the point in having it

  7. YUP 1470 B4 THE CALL
