  1. Neither, you'll be going to sixth form.

Some sixth forms do call themselves colleges - but they're still just years 12 and 13 of school.

Nothing you can do will "automatically" get you to university, I'm afraid - and in any case no university will take you at 16 based on GCSE results alone. You'll need A levels, and to apply and be accepted.

Of course, if you don't get A+ to C grades in your GCSEs, very few sixth forms will take you on to study A levels in the first place, so I suppose you could say that failing to get them will automatically mean you _don't_ go to university. But getting them doesn't guarantee anything. The "someone" who told you this was either very confused or winding you up.

  2. hasnt your school told you anything?

mine has been telling us about it for ages!

well you cant go straight to university, you either go to sixthform to do A levels or you can go to college to do a course in whatever you choose, or you can do A levels at college as well. you can also apply for an apprenticeship.

i cant decide if i want to go to sixthform or college so i have applyied  for both and have had my sixthform interview. and have my college one coming up in may.

so you should start applying soon.

look on the connexions website i dont konw if its any good but they keep coming into school to talk to year 11's about what they wanna do after year 11.
