I don't want to miss even ONE day of my swimming training lessons and I don't want to use a tampon, so, do you think it's OK to swim during it? Or can you only swim when it's not heavy?

  3. people that say you cannot swim during our period have no clue what they're talking about. seriously!

however, you MUST wear a tampon. do not get in the water if you don't plan on wearing one. i mean think about it, how would you like swimming in someone else's period blood? ya that's an ewwwww.

  4. Just use a tampon

They're soo much better anyway, once you get used to them you can never go back

  5. wear a tampon if u cant put it in stay out of the water make up a excuse to ur parents and make them quit the lessons

  6. You absolutely need to wear a tampon if you are having your period and going swimming. You'll need to make sure you change it regularly, but if your swimming lesson is under 2ish hours, it shouldn't be a problem unless you're super heavy. I know you don't want to wear a tampon, but if you want to go to swimming training that badly - you might need to suck it up and wear a tampon. There really isn't much other choice.

You can't wear a pad in the water - it will be very obvious that you're wearing one, and it will bulk up with water and not do much else for you. There's also the possibility of it slipping out of your suit if you're doing a lot of swimming activity.

Going without a tampon is just allowing any 'flow' to flow straight into the water, which is, well, red. And not sanitary for anyone.

If you do decide to wear a tampon, just make sure you are washed 'down there' and when you put your suit on, that the tampon string is not hanging outside of your suit :) If you put it in according to the instructions, you won't even be able to feel it.

Best of luck. Hope all goes well!

  7. I wouldn't. There's a strong chance that your going to leak into the pool and that would be mortifying. I would just go ahead with the tampon. There really not so bad to use. If you have a box of hem there should be an instruction paper inside, that's what I used. (I was terrified of using a tampon but once I did I couldn't even feel it.)

  8. You cannot go swimming because everyone will be swimming in your blood and you would not like that. talk to your trainer about your problem and maybe just maybe they could help.

  9. Yes you can go swimming with you period on. The best thing to do is clean yourself before you put your swimsuit on and wear a tampon. But You still have to get out atleast every 2 hours to change your tampon.. I just think its sanitary

  10. For your sake, I hope it's a private pool. Your period is made up of substances that your body no longer requires. It is called BODY WASTE. It is a bio-hazard and a contaminate. And in case you didn't know, it is illegal to intentionally contaminate a public facility.

  11. You'll have to wear a tampon. Pads won't work in the water...they have some really slim ones now too.

  12. You never swim when it's heavy. Unless you want to stain your suit, towel and potentially risk leaking in the water. It won't show unless people see your suit afterwards but it's still not sanitary at all. You don't have to get out every two hours to change it so don't worry about that. They are also really comfortable once you start wearing them.

  13. listen, i had the same problem. i swim everyday of the week for 2 hours.... and i didnt know how to use a tampon and i didnt want to, but finally i figured it out and i love tampons u cant even feel them! i dont even wear pads anymore out of the water except to bed. heres how to do it:

sit down on the floor, legs spread widely apart. get a little mirror and look around down there for the hole. i found out i was trying to shove it in my pee hole. but the hole is farther towards your butt hole. stick the tampon around until it goes into the hole. if this doesnt work, wash your hands and feel around for the hole with your pinky finger. ik it sounds gross but it works. hope i helped and it may take a couple days to find the hole, it did for me. but keep trying until you get it!

    =]

if u swim without a tampon, you will get a ton of blood in ur bathing suit and it will show up in the chlorine around you. so when ppl are swimming they will be swallowing your blood. ew!?!

please use a tampon, they're great im wearing one right now.
