I'm not talking about deleting, I'm talking about completely removing content from Yahoo's "web search" box.

  1. You need to clear or disable Auto Complete. This saves all previous searches in your search bar. Here's how to fix the problem:

For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

  2. clear the history and cookies in your browser. If you have Mozilla  Firefox, it would be Tools --> Clear Private Data..., and check off the things you would like to clear.

  3. it has a auto search feature you can turn on and off, if that doesn't help go to your history for the day you want to view.. click the plus arrow and you will see "yahoo".  click the plus sign again and you'll see "yahoo search results".  slimply right click and delete them.

if you want to get high speed, clear your cookies and entire history as well :)

  4. I have been doing that for a while: just go to tools, then delete browsing history, then delete temporary files, the button says delete files, and everything you searched for is gone. The others delete saved files for games and stuff, stuff like usernames typed into forms. and history of visited websites, in order.
