For Yamaha receivers, what's the difference between the 3 models?

They have an HRT series, RXV series, and a RXZ series.

  1. The HTR is what they call the full featured line, the rxv is the premiere line, and the RXZ is the top of the line. Basically, the difference is in the components. They use better components in the RXV than the HTR but you'll notice the specs are very close. The RXZ line is for seroius audiophiles (with a lot of $ to boot). Chances are you'll be very happy with an HTR series. Yamaha doesn't make a crappy receiver, they make very good, better and best. Some manufacturers (even those with well respected names) make excellent receivers along with junk. Yamaha (and Denon) don't have a junk line.
