If your cutlass is the FWD version, there is a coolant sensor on the radiator (located at the top left side) that I had to replace when I had a simular issue. It shares a common ground with other sensors creating an electrical problem with the mass airflow sensor. The aftermarket replacement part corrects the grounding problem.
