  1. I would choose a comforter. If you don't like the way it hangs over, you can always tuck it in. Plus, most comforter sets in twin size come with sheets, pillowcase and a pillow sham. Hopefully, you can do the other half of the bunk bed the same way if they are still put together. And buy some new blinds in a matching color and a pair of sheer curtains, white is always nice. Duvets are just too bulky to suit me.

  2. Well, If you currently have one of those, are you happy with it?

and duvet are easier to wash. and you can put your old comforter inside of it instead of buying an expensive insert. and should come with standard shams. and is less expensive.

There really isn't that much of a difference but a down side to duvet is sometimes the stuffing will kind of bunch in one spot and is sort of annoying to have to fix. It would have to be preference. Just go under the covers of friends/family and try them out. plus another option is  a quilt.

    I prefer Comforters over all

but a duvet is just like a cover over the existing comforter.

Sorry that is a lot of random information as it came up in my head.

  3. I prefer duvets because:

    1. They are easier to maintain. Duvet covers are easier to wash compared to comforters.

    2. They are more storage friendly. If you regularly change your covers, duvet covers will eat up less space in your linen cabinet.

    3. They can spruce up your room in no time. You can change the look of your room by just changing your duvet cover. Your bed will also be easier to make every morning. No need for fancy folds.
