You are driving on a road with two way traffic. It is divided with two yellow lines (but yours is broken) coming up on the opposite side of the road is another road you want to enter. But how do you enter it?Do you just slow down at turn left into the other road or do you pass it then make a U turn (now you are in the opposite road) and just turn into the road or do you do something totally different.by the way this is not a residential district.

  1. Signal at least 100 feet before the turn and slow down, check that everything is clear and make your turn, this is legal...

  2. You signal, slow down, stop if necessary, and make the left turn.

  3. Yellow line denotes two way traffic.  Solid or hashed line indicates passing zones.  You may pass, if you have a hashed line, and nothing is coming.  If you have a solid line, you may not pass.  The lines do not limit turning, only passing.
