  1. St Thomas beaches are great for snorkeling. Here are some of my favorites. Be sure to bring your own towels to these public beaches. Pack a neat sheet for your days at the beach. I bought mine at Walmart. Some of the beaches charge for chair rental.

Coki Beach  East End/Red Hook area

this popular beach is known for its clear, calm, warm waters. It is also a destination for snorkeling since brightly colored tropical fish flock to the coral reef just off the beach. Vendors even sell fish food so that you can attract a greater number of fish while you snorkel. Snack shacks and a beach bar offer refreshments, and water sports can be arranged at kiosks along the beach.

    Morning Star Beach

Hip, attractive young couples and singles flock to this beach to snorkel, sail, windsurf or relax in a lounge chair and survey the scenery – both the boats off the shore and the bikinis on the shore. The beach is accessible from Frenchman's Reef Resort via a glass elevator. Windsurfing and sailing lessons are available from certified instructors.

Sapphire Beach (outside of Red Hook)

This family-friendly beach boasts terrific views of St. John and the British Virgin Islands. The adjacent resort rents water sports equipment – this is an excellent area for windsurfing – and there is a beachside dive shop offering scuba and snorkeling accessories. Refreshments are available at several restaurants beachside and at the resort.

    Secret Harbour (Red Hook)

The snorkeling is superb, and a beach bar and restaurant serve food and drinks. The best way to get to Secret Harbour Beach is via taxi.

If you have time, take the ferry over to St John and go to Trunk Bay Beach. It has a underwater snorkel trail and the fish are plentiful. they have a snack bar, showers, snorkel rentals. There is a fee but it's small. This beach is part of the National Park.

Enjoy The US Virgin Islands they are awesome)
