For a candy shop, do I have to charge sales taxes on all my food?

For Nevada... If I do have to charge sales tax

can i already put the tax into the price to give a nice even number and advertise it that way? (with the tax already in?)

  1. If the tax is already included, make sure that you post that on your candy rack. Other wise, someone might wonder why you hadn't added it when it's rung up.

  3. In Nevada, you can include sales tax in your price, as long as you post a sign that clearly states this. For example ($4.00/Lb, Tax Included)

    You may want to double check with an accountant or tax attorney to see if you have to charge tax in the first place. Some states don't require tax on food purposes.
