  1. Ethernet is much more reliable and usually faster.

  2. Ethernet all the way. Wireless will just slow things down for a desktop. it's good for laptop(wifi). because it's mobile but desktop isn't mobile.

  3. Ok Let's Compare:

    Ethernet

    Pros: Faster, Never loose signal.

Cons: If your router is on another room and your computer is in your room, you have to run a wire across the house or you have to drill a hole to get it through.

    Wireless

Pros: If your router is in another room and your computer is in your room, you don't have to run a wire though the house or drill a hole.

Cons: Sometimes it looses signal, or if you have a big house, some routers only reach limited areas.

  4. Ethernet it is a proper direct connection. If you want to know anymore questions about the internet or computers/laptops ask me. email me at tree_av@yahoo.co.uk--and im good with viruses and errors.

  5. IF YOU WANT IT REALLY FAST? BRIDGE ALL THREE KINDS OF CONNECTION.

  6. Ethernet will give you the most solid connection and fastest. You can get up to 1000mbps (mega bits; not to be confused with megabytes) with the new gigabit network cards and routers.

Although, wireless N has reached speeds of about 400mbps now. This means that while playing online, you will NOT notice any lag in gameplay or downloads. The only time you're going to lose any speed is if you are transferring files from one computer to another in the network; OR you are located a far distance from the router; OR there are many walls/floors between you and the router.

  7. Well they are both fast. But when you have ethernet your always 100% sure your gunna have internet. And you dont have to worry about people hacking into your thing and stuff

  8. ethernet

  9. ethernet (up to 1 Gb/s) is better--especially for a desktop computer! It's possible for a desktop computer to support wireless, but you would need a wireless adapter connected to a desktop computer with its drivers installed, along with a wireless router connected to your cable/DSL modem. In this case, ethernet is best. Hope this helps.

  10. Ethernet is faster and less prone to hacking.
