For a family man with two kids, what is a good base? Aviano, Misawa, Yokota, or England? ?

Depends on the age of your kids.

All I can say is Yokota has Everything. It is 20 minutes away from anything you want to do, and the people are much more used to foreingers.

England wouldn't be my first choice.(personal oppinion)

I'd say England(are you american?).

In Japan and Italy few people can speak english and your kids will find it difficult to make friends, so I wouldn't pick Aviano, Misawa or Yokota.
