For a guy what is something I shouldn't wear to a wedding?

I've never been to a big fancy one like this (two Vegas weddings though lol) and was wondering if wearing a dark reddish button down shirt, charcoal pants, and a dark blue jacket would be inappropriate?

Just curious

  1. A c**k RING..... Plain and simple...

  2. Dude, you should ask this question in the fashion/g*y section.  I'm not trying to be funny, you'll get a much bigger (and more helpful)  response.  Good luck man.

  3. that would be appropriate and very nice

wearing a wedding dress  however would be inappropriate ;]

  4. that sounds fine.... the only "not obvious" no-no...is DO NOT wear one of those t-shirts that is screen-printed to look like a tuxedo..THAT's tacky.  Dress nice...and I'm sure it's fine.

  5. no actually it wouldnt be inappropiate.but dont wear a c**k ring

  6. The dark blue and the charcoal dont match first of all. If it's a big fancy wedding, you should dress a little more formally. It also depends on how close you are to whoever is getting married. If your not that close, a nice button down shirt with a tie in summery colors (but nothing too obnoxious) would be fine. If you are closer to them, you should probably dress in black tie, which you can read about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_tie

  7. Sounds fine.  I think you're over-analyzing the colors a bit.  The only thing you shouldn't wear to a wedding would be: shorts, jeans, wripped or logo or any type of casual t-shirt, tank-tops, or anything super casual UNLESS the invitation specifically states that (which is very rare but occasionally happens for beach weddings).

  8. that really dose not match you might want to have a black jacket, or a more light outfit starting with the shirt it really depends where the wedding is at because you can dress like that at vegas sure. if its at a beach then i say a light more mellow shirt no jacket and short sleeves possible. Good luck I hate dressing for weddings!!! Have fuN!!

  9. wear either a matching suit or a tux. if it were me i'd wear a suit but make sure the colors match after all your going to a wedding not on a dinner date.

have fun at the wedding! : ]

  10. dont wear the jacket with the jeans, it doesn't match very well. just wear the button down shirt and the pants, you'll look fine, You dont even need a tie, a button down is dressy enough for a wedding.

  11. Different places, different cities, different dress codes. I've been all over the states and 2 in the islands - dress code is soooo diff. Best way to cheat that I have found is look up the site where the reception is - they always have photos of wedding in progress, can also check out sites of local wedding photographers. You'll see exactly what they wear.

  12. Honestly, the colors sound a little off.  But just don't wear sequined speedos...

  13. If it's really fancy, go with a suit and tie. At the very least a nice button down and a tie.

I wouldn't combine all those colors. If you're wearing charcoal pants wear the same color jacket. The red would be okay with this color. Not crazy about it with the blue jacket.

  14. If it's an afternoon wedding, that is likely fine.  But if it's an evening wedding, and "fancy," you should go black tie (that is, black suit and black tie)

  15. Depends on where it's at. i'd go traditional- Black or white tuxedo, black pants

  16. I would bring the jacket with you if you feel you need it, but for the most part, you won't. You will get a little warm in all those clothing. But the Dark Redish shirt and Charcoal slacks sounds perfect.

Be sure to wear nice black.charcoal socks with nice shoes.

  17. Too many colors going on, Toots....

keep the jacket & the pants and wear either a white, pale blue, or light gray shirt......or wear either  a black or dark gray jacket if you insist on the red shirt........good luck.

  18. Yes Maybe you sahould stick woth black and white???

  19. i think a guy looks good in cowboy boots, a black jacket, jeens, and a nice shirt. ull look great!!! trust me. : D

  20. Don't listen to all the stupid answers. I think I'd just go with the button down shirt and the pants. I would skip the jacket because it sounds a little much...Maybe if it matched the pants in color but since it doesn't I'd forgo it. Maybe get a charcoal tie?

  21. doesnt seem bad but do you maybe hav a suit or pants themathc the jacket, make sure the jacket isnt  causal. if you dont want to go buy a jackt you should probably just wear the charcoal pants, red shirt and tie, no jacket neccesarry, unless its cold bring it along...wear black shoes too!! and a black belt, your tie should have some red, some charcoal/gray and black!
